SkyMUN

This year Kandinsky College will host the fourth edition of SkyMUN, a debating conference organized by and for students. It will take place in the last weekend of November.
By Tessa Hofman, t3f

Debating pressing world-issues
SkyMUN is short for Kandinsky Model United Nation. Students from all over the Netherlands, but also from outside the country come together to debate the worlds most pressing issues. Ranging from the Israel-Hamas conflict to food security in remote villages. All participants will be assigned a county to represent, they become a delegate of that nation. In different committees these delegates debate about their assigned conflicts, they write resolutions and hopefully at the end of the day come to an agreement.
Spotlight on goal number 12
For this year’s edition we have decided to dive deeper into sustainable development goal number 12, Responsible consumption and production, a goal which is becoming more important by the year. Over the last century we have been consuming and producing increasingly more. Which seems like a good thing but is also has a cost. The world is being exhausted, people are being exploited, many things are suffering for our products. At SkyMUN this year we will put a spotlight on these issues. We will think, talk, and debate about it.
Join us & apply!
We encourage everyone in second year and up to apply! Registration will open after the summer holiday. More info can be found at skymun.eu
